1.) To counter hostile disinformation operations we present here a proposal for full government strategy
2.) More specifically, we have prepared a policy paper for BAKS on how to set up specialised units to monitor and counter disinformation operations. At this moment Czech Interior Ministry is seeing up such a unit named Hybrid Threat Centre
3.) We present here the Czech Strategy against Systematic Disinformation Campaigns of Foreign Powers. This strategy proposal was developed under umbrella of Audit of National Security, organised by Interior Ministry of the Czech Republic. European Values Think-Tank served as a consultant for chapter “Influence of Foreign Powers”. It was extensively consulted with Czech security forces & agencies.
Russia as the main regional actor operating outside of the EU-NATO framework is projecting its power in Central Europe by various means. Diplomatic activities, energy and economic policy, information warfare and support of domestic political forces sympathetic to the Russian narrative are ways for it to restore influence in the region and weaken the EU and NATO. The research project with the participation of twenty-four experts from the Czech security and intelligence community is answering the question regarding which factors will have the main impact on the European politico-security environment from the perspective of the public interests of the Czech Republic between 2016 and 2019.
